What You Get with Every Service

Written Work Summary

Every completed service is accompanied by a written record of what was cleaned, replaced, or adjusted — so you have a clear account of the job, not just a verbal assurance.

Fixed Service Pricing

The price shown is the price charged for labour and standard materials. If a replacement part is needed, you hear about it and approve it before it is fitted. There are no surprise additions at collection.

Personal Workmanship

Your watch is handled by the same technician throughout — not passed between staff or sent to a sub-contractor. One person, one bench, full accountability.

Timing Machine Results

Overhauled movements are measured on a timing machine before and after regulation. You receive the actual figures, not a general claim that it is running well.

Pressure-Tested Reseals

When resealing is part of the job, the case is pressure-tested before handover. Water-resistance is verified, not assumed from the specification on the dial.

Direct Updates

You hear from the person doing the work — not a customer service layer. If something unexpected comes up mid-service, you are contacted directly and promptly.

A Closer Look at Each Advantage

Focused Mechanical Expertise

General repair shops tend to cover a wide range of tasks — batteries, straps, glass, quartz movements. That breadth means mechanical servicing is rarely the main focus. At Wristforge, mechanical work is what we do.

Fourteen years of working on Swiss and Japanese calibers adds up to familiarity with the differences between movement families — the service intervals, the common wear points, the correct lubricants for each area. That context matters when diagnosing a watch that is losing time in ways that are not immediately obvious.

  • Swiss ETA calibers serviced (2824, 2892, 7750 and others)
  • Japanese calibers including Miyota and Seiko/NH families
  • Vintage movements assessed on a case-by-case basis
  • Clear scope limits — if we cannot do it well, we say so

Workshop Tools That Make a Difference

Ultrasonic cleaning removes old lubricant and particles from parts that cannot be reached by hand. A timing machine gives objective data on regulation quality. A pressure tester confirms gasket integrity after resealing.

These are not premium additions — they are standard for any service worth carrying out. Having them in-house means the job does not depend on what can be verified visually alone.

  • Ultrasonic bath for movement part cleaning
  • Witschi timing machine for regulation measurement
  • Pressure tester for water-resistance verification
  • Loupe and microscope-level inspection tools

Communication That Respects Your Time

We do not use a ticketing system, a call centre, or a service counter separate from the workshop floor. When you contact Wristforge, you reach the person working on your piece — or someone with direct knowledge of its status.

Updates are given when there is something to say. If the timeline shifts or an unexpected finding requires a decision, you hear about it the same day — not when you come to collect.

  • Direct contact with the watchmaker
  • Findings explained in plain language
  • No work started without your explicit agreement
  • Prompt contact if scope changes during service

Pricing That Stays Where It Starts

Each service level — Light Service, Mechanical Overhaul, Restoration — has a stated price that covers labour and standard materials. That price does not shift after you hand the watch over.

Parts replacements are separate line items, always discussed before fitting. The written quote you receive at drop-off reflects what you will pay at collection, with the only variables being parts you have approved along the way.

  • Fixed service prices: ฿3,600 / ฿16,000 / ฿32,000
  • No additional charges without prior approval
  • Written quote provided before work begins
  • Parts itemised and approved individually

What Sets Us Apart

Distinctive Features of the Wristforge Approach

One Technician, Full Accountability

Your watch is not handed off between staff. The person who receives it is the person who services it and returns it. There is no ambiguity about who did what.

No Work Without Your Agreement

Unlike shops that proceed and present a bill, Wristforge shares findings and waits for your decision before touching the movement. Nothing is done speculatively.

Scoped Services, Not Open-Ended Bills

Each service package has defined inclusions. You know what is covered before the watch is opened — no vague bundling or scope creep once work has started.

Honest Assessment of Scope Limits

We tell you when a piece falls outside what we can responsibly service — whether due to movement complexity, parts availability, or manufacturer tooling requirements. Honesty here saves you money and avoids poorly completed work.
